New Jersey Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor

February 4, 2015

In 2014, the Agency worked with the New Jersey Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor (NJ OIFP), a department of the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, to launch a full-scale multimedia public awareness campaign which utilized a mix of traditional, social, and digital marketing. The statewide Insurance Fraud=Prison campaign featured an array of radio, cable, transit, and online elements and reached over 225 million impressions before we extended that campaign creative on the web and social media.

In order to gain more of an understanding as to what type of awareness existed about insurance fraud online, on social media, and in online conversations; we went on to create unbranded social media accounts that were focused on the topic of Insurance Fraud. Once we discovered that there was indeed an appetite for this information, we worked hand in hand with the OIFP to create branded and regularly updated OIFP social media sites that not only provide information about the many types of insurance fraud, but also to engage the online community in conversations about insurance fraud and spread awareness of its prevalence in our state. Just before the end of the year, we ran a one week sponsored social media campaign that featured one of the four OIFP branded infographics we created on behalf of the OIFP, and resulted in over 67,000 impressions.
